Continuum Industries is a software company that developed and provides an AI-based tool for engineers and infrastructure planners.
Our multi-disciplinary team brings a novel approach by combining insights from specialties such as civil, mechanical and electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, ergonomics and economics. This unique blend is what allows us to develop the most advanced AI algorithms and package them into a tool, which is easily accessible for infrastructure teams.
Just like roads and aqueducts were fundamental to the development of Ancient Rome, the infrastructure of the 21st century is at the centre of the changing global economy.
The mission of Continuum Industries is to help the lagging construction industry teleport itself into the digital age and keep up with the requirements of achieving Net Zero emissions. We believe that without a step change, the sector will not be able to meet the demand for the critical infrastructure necessary for our society to grow and evolve.
As a software company, we provide tools and create an environment to help humans leverage vast computing resources and rapidly make better infrastructure decisions while retaining full control over the process. Our optioneering engine is very closely coupled with how engineers work, which is why we like to form close partnerships with our customers and help them get the most out of the product.
We would like to make a meaningful impact on the industry, the overall society that relies on infrastructure and effectively, on the planet itself. Our goal is to make it possible for every linear infrastructure project around the world to leverage our software on their job.
The founders originally met at the University of Edinburgh’s Hyperloop Team in 2016. The blue sky concept of hyperloop made us realise that designing such a complex system using the industry’s conventional methods would have rather low chances of achieving a successful outcome. This inspired us to create an optimisation engine for hyperloop and later also for all other types of linear infrastructure.
